Leo's First Girlfriend

Over the weekend we visited some friends that live a couple of hours away. They also invited another couple that has three daughters. The youngest daughter (2 1/2 years old) took an immediate liking to Leo. While he was crawling around on the floor she grabbed both of he cheeks and planted a very wet kiss right on the lips. She continued to do this for most of the day. At first Leo would squirm away but later on I think he started to like it.

Tofu

Mike and I will entered a tofu eating contest this weekend. It's based on the famous Coney Island hot dog eating contests minus the lips, hooves and sphincters. Everyone had 90 seconds to eat as much tofu as possible. I started off strong but soon found it more and more difficult to swallow. Needless to say, neither of us won. To be honest neither of us even came close! We both managed to eat seven small cups of tofu. The guy that won inhaled 32! I guess competitive eating isn't my thing. I'll stick to aikido.

Tsunami

Much like H1N1 the tsunami was a bit blown out of proportion. There were some big waves and some coastal towns got a bit wet but there were no casualties that I heard of. However, it almost ruined my evening. Mike and I had plans on going to a punk rock concert in Tokyo but because he lives next to the beach, the trains in his area were cancelled due to the tsunami. In the end it all worked out and we got to watch some great bands with Japanese kids half our age.
